Welcome to the SUNY Geneseo ANTH 229 wiki!

This is our class wiki for Fall 2007.  It is intended for collective editing of scholarly research to improve our understanding of world cultures.  Through documentaries, class lectures, outside research, and student discussions, students will gain an appreciation for how others lead their lives, no matter how bizarre the traditions may seem in comparison to our own way of life.  It would be impossible to cover everything you need to know in 16 weeks of class lectures, so to put the power of learning in your hands, scholarly research assignments are dispersed throughout the semester.  Please take this opportunity to encounter the wonderful new discoveries that the world has to offer.
